Best Weapons in WARDOGS — What to Buy at Every Budget
Season 1 Early Access · build 0.11
The stat-driven ranking lives in the tier list. This page answers the practical question: given your bankroll and your role, what should actually go in the cart? WARDOGS' persistent-cash economy punishes over-buying — a dead $6,500 loadout is money you'll spend the rest of the match earning back.
First Match: Spend Almost Nothing
Take a free A-91, BUSHMASTER M17S or KH-2002 (all $0, all A-tier by TTK), one magazine's worth of compatible 5.56, and basic bandages. That leaves nearly the whole $10,000 untouched. Your first deaths should cost you almost nothing while you learn the Control Zone, the towers and the travel problem — not $4,000 of gear you didn't know how to use.
Best Value Upgrade: T-21 ($600)
The first gun worth buying. Full auto (the free rifles are semi/burst), 240 ms close-range TTK — inside 30 ms of the $2,800 M4 — and cheap enough to lose twice without panicking. If you only remember one pick from this page: T-21, ammo, bandages, keep the rest in the bank.
Best Assault Rifle Progression
- A-91 / M17S / KH-2002 ($0) — learn on these.
- T-21 ($600) — full auto, no unlock.
- M4 ($2,800, Assault Lvl 20) — the real mid-game gun: 800 RPM, lightest assault rifle at 2.92 kg, widest attachment range.
- FAL ($6,500, Assault Lvl 35) — the endgame: S-tier, 92 ms TTK, .308 punch. Buy it when losing one won't bankrupt you.
Best Weapons by Role

Medic / close quarters — SUPER-45 ($2,600)
The best SMG in the current tables: 150 ms close-range TTK, .45 ACP. It earns Medic XP alongside your defibrillator. The $900 AMP-9 is the budget version while you grind toward the level-35 unlock.
Mid-range marksman — SVD ($4,800)
Two-shot DMR, S-tier, holds its TTK out to long range better than anything except the BMR-308. The natural pickup for players who fight from the edge of the Control Zone.
Suppression — M249 SAW ($3,200)
212 ms close TTK with the magazine to hold a doorway. Pairs with a defensive tower or FOB assignment.
Budget backup — GGX 18 ($800)
A machine pistol with a 200 ms close-range TTK. When you're rebuilding after an expensive death, this plus a cheap primary is a legitimate recovery kit, not a consolation prize.
Sniper
Five sniper rifles are in the game; if your role is recon, remember that binoculars at ~$75 plus spotting pays cash without risking a $5,000 kit — see the money guide's spotting route.
Best Starting Loadout Under $2,000
- T-21 assault rifle — $600
- 2× compatible magazines — ~$200
- Bandages + basic medical — ~$300
- Nothing else. Keep $8,000+ liquid for your second and third lives.
FAQ
- What's the best weapon for beginners?
- Free A-91 or M17S first, then the $600 T-21 when you want full auto. Save the rest of the $10,000 for medical supplies and re-deploys.
- Is the FAL worth it?
- Statistically yes — fastest TTK in the game. Practically, only after Assault level 35 and only when you can absorb losing it. Until then the M4 or T-21 wins on value.
- What gun should a medic use?
- AMP-9 ($900) early, SUPER-45 ($2,600) once unlocked at Medic level 35. Both earn Medic XP.
- Do attachments change these picks?
- They shift handling more than TTK. The M4's wide attachment range (optic, barrel, handguard, magazine, stock) is part of why it's the mid-game standard.
